ZSecurity FAQ
I. Before you purchase or download.
Does ZSecurity support any operating system?
In short, no. The ZSecurity software is usable only on Microsoft Windows based machines. Our security products specifically support Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista (both 32-bit and 64-bit). ZSecurity does NOT support the server versions of these operating systems, nor does it support the Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 95 operating systems.
What are the minimum system requirements for ZSecurity?
For Windows XP/200: Intel Pentium III, 1 GHz or higher; 512 MB of RAM; Windows XP Home/Professional/Media Center Edition or Windows 2000 Professional with SP4; Internet Explorer 6.0; 800MB free hard disk space (500 MB for Anti-Virus Only); an internet connection to validate subscription and get updates.
For Windows Vista: Intel Pentium 4 2 GHz or higher; 1 GB RAM; Windows Vista Starter/Home Basic/Home Premium/Business/Ultimate/Enterprise; Internet Explorer 7.0; 16-bit display; 800MB free hard disk space (500 MB for Anti-Virus Only); an internet connection to validate subscription and get updates.
Can I use both ZSecurity and another antivirus on my computer at the same time?
No. Antivirus by design must be exclusive to your computer. Attempting to run more than one security package could result in serious operating errors, including rendering the computer unable to boot. Although the ZSecurity installer can find and uninstall most other security packages, it's suggested that you uninstall them manually prior to installing our software.
How do I manually remove other security products?
There are two methods. The first is to navigate to the program's folder in the Windows "start" menu. Often times a program will include an uninstall option in the folder which can be clicked to activate. If your security program doesn't have an uninstall option you may use the second method of
Uninstalling through the Windows Control Panel. Do the following:
1.Click Start.
2.Look to the panel on the right side, click Control Panel.
3.Double-click Add or Remove Programs (be patient while the list of installed programs is generated).
4.Click on the security program to highlight it, then click Remove.
5.Follow the on-screen instructions, repeating the process for any other security packages that need to be removed.
6.When finished, restart your computer. |
